Hi There, with regard timeline and newsfeed, do you know why uploaded photo albums appear only in your timeline and not your newsfeed? I cannot get them to appear in the newsfeed also? Help!
This is a great question Holly and once you know where to look, any easy setting to adjust.
To adjust the type of posts that show up for a Facebook friend, go to their profile and click the Friends button, then the Settings option. If you aren’t currently seeing their updates in your News Feed, make sure the Show in News Feed option is checked.
From the Settings menu, you can choose which types of updates you want to see in your News Feed. I’m interested in Life Events, Status Updates, and Photos. I’m not interested in Games, so I could uncheck that option to make sure I don’t see those types of updates in my News Feed.
The only downside is you will have to go to each Facebook friend’s profile to modify these settings.

I wonder if the question Holly asked is the same as my problem: uploading from my iphone, photos only show up on my timeline, not my newsfeed. If I upload from my computer, the photo shows up on my timeline AND my newsfeed. Please help! thanks!
The Timeline will show your information and the News Feed is typically to see updates from your friends and people you follow. There is also an algorithm Facebook uses to choose what shows up in your News Feed and what doesn’t. You might find this Facebook Help document on How News Feed Works. You may also want to change how items in your News Feed are sorted. I have mine set to Top Stories. Check out this other Facebook Help document on how to control what I see in my News Feed.
If that doesn’t work, then it might be a bug with how Facebook deals with pictures uploaded from the mobile app. If someone likes or comments on a picture you uploaded, it should show up in your notifications. So keep an eye on your notifications so you don’t miss anything.
