A Simple Tip For Traveling With Gadgets

Sam and I are preparing to head out to (hopefully) sunny Orlando, FL for a conference next week.  Being the geeks we are, we have to take all of our gadgets with us.  And with our gadgets come chargers.

One of my biggest frustrations when traveling with my gadgets is lack of electrical outlets in hotel rooms.  I’ve had to unplug lamps, reach behind furniture, and charge cell phones using the bathroom outlets (water + electronics = bad idea).

My solution, pack a power strip!

There are never enough outlets to charge everything at once.  Yes, packing a power strip will make your bag a little heavier but you will be glad you have it.  Packing a power strip also means I free up the bathroom outlets for all the tools I need to do my hair (shocking I know, but it takes a little work to get my hair presentable) and I don’t have to worry about my gadgets being around water.

Make sure your power strip has enough spots for everything you need to charge and shop around for the right option for you.  Power strip designs have come a long way, so don’t feel like you have to settle for a standard power strip.  And if you are traveling internationally, make sure you have the correct adapters.
